Where it began
My journey with Cambodia began in 2006, and from the very first visit I knew this country would change my life. What started as curiosity soon became a deep personal connection with the Cambodian people — their resilience, their kindness, and above all, the trust they place in one another.
Over the years that followed, I organised tours, supported community projects, and looked for ways to improve the well-being of local families. Cambodia taught me that life is not only about success, but about relationships, responsibility, and creating opportunities for others. The country earned a permanent place in my heart.
One lesson has stayed with me above all: life built on trust is the strongest foundation of all. Cambodia helped me reconnect with what truly matters — living with purpose, building genuine relationships, and creating something meaningful for both visitors and the local community. This philosophy became the foundation of Bloom Garden.
The story so far
Bloom Garden didn't begin as a business plan. It grew, slowly and honestly, out of nearly two decades of showing up for Cambodia.
An initial trip to Cambodia turns into something deeper — the beginning of a lasting bond with the country and its people.

The original Bloom Garden Guesthouse welcomes guests for six successful years, built on personal hospitality and genuine connection.
COVID-19 forces the closure of the original guesthouse after six good years. Like many businesses in Cambodia, we face an uncertain future — but giving up is never an option.
A smaller concept — just two guest rooms — with an even stronger focus on personal hospitality, quality, and genuine connection. Peterhans and Panhea begin again, together.

Our shared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners often become the highlight of a guest's stay. Sustainability is part of our daily life too, through initiatives such as Refill My Bottle and Refill Not Landfill — small habits that let guests travel a little more responsibly.
